Non-bridge Landmark

What is left of things when they lose their specific purpose?

Matter, shape, history, pure aesthetics.
The scene of action is an unfinished railway bridge across the Novotvertsky channel near Vyshny Volochek. A bridge is an intention that always includes action, it has a simple purpose – to connect.
Thus, the unfinished bridge contains some element of absurd. It is a ruin without a history, existence, sculpture.
The image of the landmark continues and designs principles that penetrate this place, it is laconic in the practical solution, in some way it is absurd, romantic and seems to be left unfinished.
The Non-bridge Landmark consists of two parts: the "object" and "context". They are placed on the opposite banks of the channel, contrasting and complementing each other.
View of the Museum complex
The object is a wooden tower rising on a free-standing part of an existing bridge that takes on a new meaning turning into a pedestal. A light metal ladder leading to the pedestal seems attached to it not so long ago.
Context has got simple buildings with the size of country houses located on the opposite bank at the mound under the bridge. They contain some supporting facilities for the landmark and
the environment formed by them has potential for further expansion.
The two parts are connected by a crossing (bridge) that is submerged into the channel to maintain the tension of the empty space between the parts of the bridge.
